I'm so insecure about everything. What should I do to overcome this feeling of insecurity?

When you’re dealing with insecurities and low confidence, there is only one thing that can change that.

And that is taking action in life.

The problem with people dealing with these issues is that they keep things the same. They stay in the same environment, same friends.

To build confidence, you have to realize that you need to make a change. You need to invest in yourself.

Nobody can be confident if they go to school/work and then go home.

You need to allow yourself the opportunity to grow.

Obviously, that is easier said than done.

So here is what you can do:

  1. If you have any traumatic experiences, go see a therapist. Years of holding in such experience can contribute to insecurities and low confidence.

  2. Start investing in yourself

    1. Read books: start with Letters from a Stoic by Seneca; How To Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie; Obstacle is the Way by Ryan Holiday

    2. Work out: Find a gym and go on the internet to find beginner-friendly workouts.

    3. Find social hobbies: find activities you can do in a group to meet new people. Examples include rec sports, dance, combat sports etc

When you take the time to invest in yourself, you will naturally grow. You will naturally become more confident. You will naturally lose some of your insecurities.

Because when you are out living and doing things, you will see that you have a lot more to offer the world, you just have to go out into the world.

Learn to build a passion for life and you will see your life change.

Now please understand this is not a quick fix. This is a change in life philosophy. And the more you commit, the longer lasting your confidence will be.

Don’t wait anymore, read the books, work out, find the social stuff you like. You will be surprised by the person you will become.

Good luck!
