What is the best strategy for boosting self-confidence?

Let’s get a little philosophical here.

I remember watching World War Z and Brad Pitt’s character was stuck in an apartment with his family and a Spanish family, while the rest of his city was overtaken by zombies.

Brad Pitt was able to coordinate an escape the next day and was trying to convince the Spanish family to come with him.

They said no.

So he went on to explain that during a crisis people who move tend to live and people who stay tend to die.

The Spanish family refused and they died.

So what’s the lesson here?

Life is all about movement.

If you’re feeling like you have low confidence, take a look at your life.

Are you investing in yourself? Are you expanding your social circle? Are you dedicating time to improve yourself?

When you put the focus on yourself and invest in yourself. Something magical happens.

You start to grow, wisdom increases, you can take more risks, and most importantly, your confidence skyrockets.

People who suffer from low confidence tend to have a boring lifestyle.

But those with a great sense of confidence are out in the world transforming themselves.

Now, you must be wondering, what can you do to boost your confidence. Here is a quick guideline that you can change to suit your tastes.

  1. Read books: Letters from a Stoic by Seneca; Obstacle is the Way by Ryan Holiday; How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.

  2. Workout: whether it’s cardio, weight lifting, get fit, you deserve it.

  3. Join a social hobby: expand your social network and make new friends. You can do this through rec league, toastmasters, etc.

  4. Find a personal project: this should be your creative outlet.

Take action in your life, be alive, be moving.

And you will quickly see that most people are not even close to what you are doing. And this will only strengthen your confidence.
